
AAPP websites (including courses and course resources/materials) will be unavailable for a period in mid-August for multiple system upgrades. Due to the size of the upgrades, the downtime may last a few days. We will start late Sunday evening (8/17) and expect to finish by mid-week. We will keep the downtime as brief as possible and notify all members when systems are back online.
AAPP Communities email communication will not be impacted! While you may be unable to access https://communities.aapp.org/, you can continue to participate in discussions via email during the upgrade. For example, you will still be able to start a new discussion by emailing general@communities.aapp.org.
Deadlines will not be impacted! We carefully scheduled this upgrade to ensure that it does not conflict with any significant deadlines. Most Fall course and application deadlines are 9/30 or later, leaving you plenty of time to complete your submissions after the upgrade.
We are excited for the upgrade! This upgrade will modernize our infrastructure, improve our data analytics capabilities, and allow us to adapt quickly to the changing needs of you, our members. While most of the system will have a familiar experience, you will see a streamlined login, profile management, and purchase experience. This is an important foundational step to addressing member feedback on our digital education and resources, improving support for search and AI, and updating the website in general.
